Amigo's sixth album features collaborations with singers Nina Pastori, Estrella Morente (and other Morente family members), Rafael de Utrera, Jose Parra, Miguel Ortega, Alejandro Sanz...; percussionists Tino di Geraldo and Paquito Gonzalez.... Amigo himself as always sings on the Flamenco guitar, and plays electric on a couple of tracks (Vicente has often cited Pat Metheny as his favorite guitarist). The pieces consist mostly of Rumbas, Tangos, Tango-Rumbas, and Bulerias. Stylistically, this record lies somewhere between Vivencias Imaginadas and the more pop oriented Ciudad de las Ideas. So Amigo continues to produce music in a World Music, Pop-Flamenco, radio-friendly vein, but the compositions are always excellent, and his guitar playing remains the reference standard for today's Flamenco guitarists.
