El Angel is a series of six programs that Ricardo Pachon (producer of Camaron, Tomatito, Tabletom, Pata Negra, Lole & Manuel, and many others) filmed/recorded in and around Sevilla in 1984, and which documented both traditional and modern/fusion Flamenco being performed at the time, much of it in very informal settings. Issued here as a boxed set containing all six programs (Triana Pura y Pura; Las Fronteras del Flamenco; El Territorio Flamenco; Montoya: La Familia; Pata Negra: El Rock de los Gitanos; and El Rocio: La Ultima Caravana.) Six hours of program, in Spanish with English and French subtitles, and Dolby 5.1 audio.
